MBA (International Business) Part 1

Alhamdulillah.. Subhanallah.. Allahuakbar..

It has been three months since I enrolled as MBA-IB student at USM.. Master in Business Administration - International Business.. So what's here to share?

Hurm.. Some sort of roller coaster rides as MBA-IB student.. thus, at least I can give some idea to those who are seeking and 'google'ing this matter.. You are most welcome to USM.. (>_<)

First thing first..




Erk.. meaning to say that.. (use your own interpretation skill..) hee =)

So back to the main point here.. erm.. let me first share what are the subjects taken for this very first semester..? Before that, just so you know.. MBA-IB is offered for full time students only.. prior to that.. for every application to pursue MBA@USM, we have to undergo an interview session.. A month after that, you can check your application status here.. MBA-IB is a two year (four semester) coursework programme and during the third semester, it is compulsory to undergo student exchange programme (SEP)..

so GSB has already giving us the course guidelines.. for first year, first semester.. we have to take five core subjects which are:

• AGW 610 Finance & Accounting for Management
• AGW 613 Management and Organizational Behavior
• AGW 614 Managerial Economics
• AGW 617 Operation Strategy 
• AGU 644 International Marketing Management

In other words, we have to attend five days classes instead of two to four classes only as requisite by MBA General full time or part time student.. by the way.. all of our class is at night.. (>_<)
not sure for next intake though..

It may be an advantage for the BBA background student or those who have working experience in realted department such as finance, supply chain, marketing, etc.. Why so? since you already have the whole picture or at least have an almost-complete jigsaw puzzles.. Thus, perhaps it's easier..

haha as compared to me.. I am almost zero working experience plus I did my undergrad degree in engineering field.. thus... what else to guess? (T_T)

Luckily, I am very passionate and interested in business and MBA is one of listed items to be accomplished in my bucket list.. Thus, it will be one of the greatest challenges I am facing in my World of Wisdom.. Like like like..

One tips.. MBA is no longer an individual but it's a group matter.. If you can find those who you can get along together, study together, and do all the projects together.. It is the best!

Happyness & Sadness

Busy time flew fast.. Next few days coming will also be busy and busier.. (-_-)

For these past few days, so many things happened and too many stories I wanted to save here - in My World of Wisdom.. just that I could not find the right moment to type each words.. until today..

Back to the title.. Happiness and sadness.. What happened actually?

haha.. not so much.. just that on 26 Nov 2013, I had attended an interview for PTD M41..Erk.. never heard about it? Check out this link.. Pegawai Tadbir dan Diplomatik.. If I able to be one of them, I can share more in future.. 

Sadly, there's no point hoping.. haha why so? because I had performed very bad not so good.. huhu.. I came unprepared and when the interviewer asked me those easy-but-difficult-to-answer question, I really could not make it. No idea at all.. Luckily the interviewer was so kind and nice.. before ending the interview session, he asked me whether I had question or not and then I asked for future tips.. Thanks Tn. Hj. I will do accordingly..

Another sad story is that.. on the night before this interview, I had received bad not very good result for my class project, Operation Strategy AGW 617.. huhuhu.. so careless I was for not doing the project accordingly.. Got wrong format.. Have another two-week-time to rewrite it all.. huhu..

Last but not least, one more sad story.. or should I say it funny story? hurm.. confusion confusion confusion.. hahaha.. how come my motorbike's tire was punctured and became flattened in USM.. If it is outside, than I can accept it.. huhu.. Lucky, I was just at library that time for group discussion.. and the distance to my hostel is just a block away.. Before going to International Marketing class yesterday (Wed), I rode it nonchalantly to nearest USM gate and got it repaired at motorcycle workshop.. 

and now.. no more sad face.. 

hahaha.. believe it or not.. I'm waiting for the best ever news present from Celcom Kolony.. Few days ago, I received a phone call from Celcom, saying that I won the third prize for Colony challenge.. hahaha since I was too shock, mixing with disbelief.. I could not remember very well the details, but I won Samsung Galaxy dot dot dot.. hahaha N.I.C.E.. 

Waiting for the present to arrive sooner.. Alhamdulillah.. Thank you Allah.. (^_^)

hurm.. It's a place I always like and ever love to go.. It holds too many sweet and lovely moments..

#Chocolate Indulgence - always my favourite#

Really can't remember my first time to Secret Recipe, with whom and where.. but the best thing ever.. since that time until present is its chocolate indulgence.. suker sangat-sangat..

In my third year at USM Engineering Campus.. my classmates bought it for my surprise birthday party at one of our member's open house.. Love it so much! Seriously.. Thanks so much B.O.M 007..

Another one more delicious dish I'll order whenever I dine in at Secret Recipe is its Tom Yum Kung.. or lasagne.. hee but surely Tom Yum Kung is the first choice..

Thank You Allah.. *bersyukur dengan nikmat segala deria yang dianugerahkan..

History repeats itself?

Who Moved My Cheese?

Life is like a maze.. Only Him up above knows the best path lead to the right exit..

Just finished reading Who Moved My Cheese book by Dr Spencer Johnson.. Love it..! Need to buy one book for my collection..  

 

Dr Spencer is brilliant in making the real life story into something so simple that we can relate in all circumstances we are facing in our daily lives.. The book is the story of four characters.. Sniff and Scurry, both are rats.. hurm.. mouses.. not sure what are they supposed to be called.. in other word tikus.. and other two characters are Hem and Haw, two little dwarf.. erk.. orang kerdil.. (haha that's why I need to find the English version.. huhuhu).. 

These Sniff, Scurry, Haw and Hem are living in the maze and they have to find the cheese to keep on living..

All four characters are actually combination of parts in ourselves - simple and complex parts.. Sometimes we act like Sniff who can smells the changes that is happening around us.. Or maybe we act like Scurry which is very fast in action.. Perhaps, most of the time we are in Hem character who denies and rejects any new changes because we afraid the changes may lead to something worst.. Last but not least, we can be  like Haw who can learn and adapt to changes that happen which can bring us to better state..

All action happens because of this - whether we are afraid or not..  

Everyone cannot foresee their future.. Even though you are a fortune teller, you are not the person who can simply control your fate.. For muslim, we believe in Qada' and Qadar.. 

However, Allah tidak akan mengubah nasib sesuatu kaum melainkan mereka mengubahnya sendiri.. (huhu cannot spend more time to translate this.. to be edited later).. That's why, we are in the state of choosing our path.. We are the one who decide which corner we want to turn, which road we want to travel, what transportation and what kind of provision we have to use and prepare.. The most important thing is we are the one who must decide our target destination..

Along the way, whenever and whatever option we decide and choose..

Huwaa.. it has been over a month time period since my last update.. can't capture everything I wish in my world of wisdom.. huhu however..

By hook or by crook.. I must spend this few minutes to wrap up the greatest moment in our family time..

Alhamdulillah.. both ma and abah were given the chance to depart from Malaysia and traveled to the most sacred place.. Mecca.. just few days ago, 23rd September 2013..

#Although lot of things happened.. time is the best healing portion I guess.. waiting for that..#

Meanwhile.. praying earnestly to Allah.. The Most Gracious, The Most Merciful.. Please grant the best health condition to both my parents, give them the best opportunity to perform their Hajj and do ease every single things for them.. amin ya rabbal 'alamin..

Actually.. I'm on my way to settle few things.. a lot of things.. huhu.. I'm happy very happy and excited to be accepted at USM for MBA.. However.. deep down inside my heart, I am very sorry and do apologize for being an inconsiderate child towards my parents.. =( though they won't say so..

"Ma.. Abah.. Along mintak maaf sangat2.."

As stated in my previous entry.. my total education fees for MBA IB are RM17,280.. huhu.. for this upcoming first semester, I need to pay for almost RM7000.. such a large amount..

at the same time.. my second sis need to extend her study at UNIMAS for another one semester.. my fourth sis will register as a degree student at UPM sooner.. and the most important and delightful matter is that both my parents have just received an invitation letter to perform their Hajj at Makkah..

Alhamdulillah.. Thank you Allah..

Though all of these matters will require not a small amount of money, Allah knows the best..

In shaa Allah.. Ya Rabbi.. Yassir wa la tu'assir.. Rabbi tamim bilkhair..

Thank you Allah.. I got one of my prayers answered.

Though initially the interview session was a bit heartbreaking since they were seeking for candidates with minimum three years experience.. Alhamdulillah I am a part of the chosen ones.. =D

Actually I applied for MBA General but I have been offered to pursue MBA International Business.. hahaha.. either way it's great to have one.. but I am also very nervous towards the upcoming uncertainty.. Why is it so?

MBA-IB students are compulsory to complete an exchange student programme (international okay!) with O.W.N.P.O.C.K.E.T.M.O.N.E.Y.

hehehe.. for the moment, I must make sure at least I can have total of RM17, 280 upon course enrollment. Then.. I need to figure out other cash.. PAMA perhaps? huhuhu

Feeling very sorry to my family..

hurm actually since not much things to do today.. i'm just enjoying blogwalking and trying tutorials for newbies blogger.. haha although most of the tutorials I've tried not turned out as they should be.. I am very lack of IT skills.. huhu will be polished as time flies..

While blogwalking, I had also came across another wonderful and inspiring blogger.. Wan Hazel.. Huwaa.. He is of my same age.. born in 1988.. and previously had suffered one of the life realities - poverty. Now, he is already leading his successful pathway. Wish him all the best..

Young Millionaire

Opened up my Yahoo inbox and there was an email from Irfan Khairi, a Young Malaysian Millionaire - while he was just at my current age.. 

Irfan Khairi is one of the name listed in PERSON I ADMIRE LIST (sooner I'll create an entry another page about this).. and my future mentor.. In Shaa Allah.. 

For the time being, I have three of his books and all of them had been personally signed by him.. =D like!

The Final Countdown

Today.. 30 July 2013.. Muslims are now already entering the third phase of Ramadhan 1434 Hijr.. It's the final countdown..

Praying for Miracle

Lucky I brought Yana to accompany me for the interview at USM on last Thursday.. haha good moral support.. {Thanks Yana..}

We arrived earlier at USM.. Unfortunately, we could not find the exact location of USM Graduate School of Business even though we had a printed map copy.. haha almost 45 minutes you know! The front guard mistaken it for the old building. They told the direction to Jalan Sesaran instead of Jalan Ilmu, the new building location..

Sorry, nama terpaksa dirahsiakan her identity cannot be revealed for the moment.. She messaged me to seek some opinion.. Then we talked over phone.. She told me that she had called her lecturer from her previous university for research assistant position. Instead, she got offered to further PHD study. So lucky and fortunate.. (May Allah bless her always..)

On Friday, 19th July 2013.. I had accompanied my friend, Miera Sazemi to pay a visit to one of her office mates house; Aireen, a Chinese lady. Aireen lives in Halaman Bukit Gambir area at USM Penang - cannot remember the exact name but it is an exclusive and expensive housing area. Talking to Aireen and her husband, it gave me deep desire and high determination to achieve the most important item listed for My Bucket List - FINANCIAL FREEDOM. Why so?
